That is 121 dolls plus 25 Tiny Worlds. I am surprised that so much got accomplished while I was clearing stuff out of the house, having a huge yard sale, flying to Chicago, and all the rest of the work of moving house after 36 years! We are still hoping to relocate in the Spring so fingers-crossed that our perfect new place will show up soon!
Dumyé brings love & light into the lives of both our children and the children who have not been spoken for, through our beautiful, personal and purposeful cloth dolls. Our story started with a girl...

The majority -- 63 percent of them -- said they'd rather play with the white doll. Most said the white doll was nicer than the black doll and in the most poignant answer of all, 44 percent of the black children said the white doll looked most like them.
\"GMA\" then moved on to that question about which doll is nice and which is not. Sixty years ago, 56 percent of the children chose the white doll. The majority of our kids chose black or both and 32 percent chose the white doll.
\"The bad doll is on my right because that's just the way it looks at me. It kind of creeps me out with the beady eyes,\" said 9-year-old Chareese Hicks, a fourth-grade participant who picked the white doll as bad.
There was another question \"GMA\" asked. In this age of much superficial judgment, when so many magazines and ads concentrate on looks, we wanted to know about appearance. Which doll was more beautiful?
BanduraBobo DollBobo Doll ExperimentBobo Doll ExperimentBy Dr. Saul McLeod, updated 2014During the 1960s, Albert Bandura conducted a series of experiments on observational learning, collectively known as the Bobo doll experiments. Two of the experiments are described below:
It was then possible to match the children in each group so that they had similar levels of aggression in their everyday behavior. The experiment is, therefore, an example of a matched pairs design. To test the inter-rater reliability of the observers, 51 of the children were rated by two observers independently and their ratings compared. These ratings showed a very high reliability correlation (r = 0.89), which suggested that the observers had a good agreement about the behavior of the children.if(typeof ez_ad_units!='undefined')ez_ad_units.push([[300,250],'simplypsychology_org-leader-1','ezslot_4',862,'0','0']);__ez_fad_position('div-gpt-ad-simplypsychology_org-leader-1-0');MethodA lab experiment was used, in which the independent variable (the type of model) was manipulated in three conditions:Aggressive model is shown to 24 childrenNon-aggressive model is shown to 24 childrenNo model shown (control condition) - 24 childrenStage 1: ModelingIn the experimental conditions children were individually shown into a room containing toys and played with some potato prints and pictures in a corner for 10 minutes while either:24 children (12 boys and 12 girls) watched a male or female model behaving aggressively towards a toy called a 'Bobo doll'. The adults attacked the Bobo doll in a distinctive manner - they used a hammer in some cases, and in others threw the doll in the air and shouted "Pow, Boom." 2ff7e9595c
